Dear Field Walkers and Metal Detectorists,
We are now set to start Field walking and Metal Detecting this weekend (Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th Nov.) and the following weekend ( 19/20th).
These dates have been confirmed with the Village Hall committee, hence we have the use of the Village Hall on those 4 occasions.
We will assess the appetite for detecting and field walking during Mon. 14th – Fri. 18th Nov. this weekend – it may be that we do a couple of the weekday dates at least.
Please do not go directly to site on your own.
Each operational day we will meet at the Village Hall (opens at 8:30am) and go down together – Parking has been arranged.
We will depart the Village Hall each day at about 9:30am.
Also we will always leave the site together.
Who Can Take Part ?
As per the previous blog and emails, only those who have attended previous meetings are eligible.
Please Remember (for Metal Detectorists Only) – You Must Provide Evidence of your Public Liability Insurance to myself before being allowed to take part in detecting.
We also have Flags, Canes for marking each detectorists current area and Finds bags – plus Sticky Notes (for those not Marking the bags) and permanent markers.
You will need to mark each of your Finds bags with your (unique) initials, Date and GPS location – at the point of each discovery.
