Our next meeting is on Friday 23rd September @ 7:30pm at Cuckney Village Hall.
We have some great operational news.
The Welbeck Estates Company Ltd. have agreed to further permissions for Fieldwalking & Metal Detecting between Nov. 22 and Mar. 24; full details at the meeting (and see the Agenda link – bottom). We believe that these areas may represent at least some of the Battle of Hatfield operation – is this Bede’s, “Plain of Haethfelth” ?
Unfortunately, we do not have permissions or funding for other works such as Ground Penetrating Radar but Fieldwalking & Metal Detecting could be an important first step.
We will also be having the agenda professionally printed (as usual) and delivered, principally in the Cuckney and Norton areas and to various local libraries.
