This Fieldwork is very much ON and I can confirm that the grass on both sides of the River Poulter around St. Mary’s was cut yesterday (which should help our experiences) !
FREE Community Archaeology Topographic Survey
Andy Gaunt (MERCIAN Archaeologist) says :
The topographic survey will record features in fields to the North of Cuckney church and will be undertaken using a range of different mapping and surveying equipment including a survey grade GPS, robotic Total Station and Total Station.
You will have a chance to undertaken all the different techniques and learn all about surveying and the local history and archaeology of the site.
