Stuart Whittle

Dear Supporters,

It was sad to learn that one of our key supporters and financial contributors, Stuart Whittle, passed away suddenly on Saturday 30th May.

Stuart was a keen supporter of our activities and for example, has wholly funded the purchase of a quality 2nd hand metal detector (£250) and a copy of the rare, “Local Maps and Plans From Medieval England” (Skelton & Harvey) (£275).

Whilst I hesitated to provide the values of those 2 items I wanted to demonstrate both his generosity, commitment and warm heart towards our project.

Thanks to Molly Burgess for the photo of Stuart.

Perhaps we can reward him by solving the mystery and with that in mind, we are due to have a meeting very shortly with some local farmers (around the middle of June 26) for further land permissions in the Cuckney vicinity. On May 6th we also contributed to a ‘History Hit’ television programme. Details of both activities will be provided in a separate post.

Thank you Stuart.

From all at BOHIS
